We worked with NTUC Income to come up with an virtual insurance agent that can allows you to manage your IncomeShield policies through chat.

ABOUT CASE

We were tasked by NTUC Income to come up with a IncomeShield Virtual Assistant to help their customers manage their policies under IncomeShield through chat. The main functions of the AI Assistant is to allow users to authenticate themselves and login through a secured manner, gain access to their policies so that they can be updated in terms of premiums, payments, plan upgrades etc...

We decided to use the iconic cartoon characters that NTUC Income already have for the design of the UI and interaction experience. Users can make changes to their policies and also at the same time get advise from the AI Assistant on plan upgrades etc... Upon confirmation, the users can upgrade their policies directly within the chat itself. All they need to do is to answer a few questions regarding their health and profile and they are good to go. The entire process is also guided by the AI Assistant to prevent confusion for the users. After confirmation, the users can also directly make payment with their credit card through the chat itself.

After the IncomeShield Assistant was launched, it received a lot of good feedback from its customers, mostly expressed that the process was simple and easy to follow and fast. Some of them even did it on their way home inside the train. It is hassle-free and the AI assistant is filled with insurance knowledge that you can ask should you have any queries.
